And because I'm a fine arts student, let me talk to you about or floats and costumes shall we? To start of, our theme for this year is "Pinoy: Noon at Ngayon". Pretty tough huh?
We've had a hard time brainstorming possible entries of what we could make out on the said situation. We voted and voted and voted and viola! Our block (VC-W) decided to do Philippine Cinema. Rough choice. Of course we had to make our costumes as recognizable as possible!
Oh yeah, before I forgot, here are some pictures of our masterpiece, in case you wanna see our awesomeness:
(From Top to Bottom; Left to Right)
* Hiwaga sa Balete Drive, Zuma, Robin Padilla, Halimaw sa Banga, Pugot na Ulo, Unding of Shake Rattle and Roll
*Old Cinema Camera, Modern Videocam, Lotus Feet of Feng Shui
* Sarah and Munting Prinsesa, Himala (Nora Aunor), Enteng Kabsote, Anak ng Bulkan
* Volta, Aguiluz of Mulawin, Darna, Dyesebel
* Yaya and Angelina of Bubble Gang, Ang Babae sa Septic Tank, Palito of Home Alone da Riber, Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros, Facifica Falayfay
And last but not the least!! My very own ALWINA of Mulawin. :)
by the way, I'm not the girl inside the costume.
Being someone who is not allowed to participate in any christmas occasions due to religious beliefs, seeing these pictures urged the green eyed monster inside me. It seems like they've had lots of fun. I don't wanna miss any fun!! But fortunately, I managed to keep the monster calm. Thank you conscience! :)
Footnote: I would like to thank Therese's cousin, who paraded my super heavy costume! I'm sorry I didn't even give you anything. But I will, just wait and see. :D You are both life-savers! I owe you a lot. xx
